How to Import a File into Wink V2

Wink Reports allows users to import files, enabling you to use and merge data into other reports. Follow the steps below to successfully import a file:

1. Go to the Connector Module

  • On the left-hand pane of the Wink website, click on the Connectors module.

2. Click “Connect Now”

  • After opening Connectors, you’ll be taken to a page where you can integrate different tools into Wink, including the File Import.
  • Find File Import and click Connect Now to proceed.

3. Start Importing a File

  • Once connected, you will be directed to the import page.
  • Click the Import New File button to upload your file.

4. Set Import Settings

  • You will be directed to the Import Settings page.

  • Choose how you would like to import your file:

    • Manually from your computer

    • Through Google Sheets

  • If needed, review and adjust the Advanced Excel Settings for specific actions before importing.

5. Fill in Import Details

  • Complete all the necessary fields for the file you are uploading.
  • After filling out the details, click Import File to proceed.

6. Special Instructions for Google Sheets Upload

  • If you are uploading a file through Google Sheets, follow these additional steps:

    • Open your Google Sheets file.

    • Click on File > Share > Publish to web.

    • A small window will pop up; click Publish.

    • Ensure the document is published as an Excel file.

    • Copy the link provided and paste it into the Remote URL field in the Wink Import page.
