Make ServiceM8 Attachments available for public download so they can be included in reports
Attachments in ServiceM8 can include job photos, signatures, invoice PDFs, and quote PDFs.
These attachments are only accessible when signed in to ServiceM8. This a problem for reporting because reports are often viewed by people who aren't signed in to ServiceM8, or fetched by our servers to generate a PDF.
To include attachments in reports, a public attachment URL is required. Wink Reports can make attachments publicly available, but the download feature needs to be enabled by Wink support for your connection. This precaution is taken to protect the privacy of attachments by default.
Once enabled, the download URL follows this format:
https://secure.winkreports.com/apps/servicem8/attachment/{organisation_id}/{attachment_id}
Additionally, you can provide a URL parameter called maxSize to resize images and prevent large PDF file sizes. For example:
